Guidelines:

My dear friend, welcome on board. This fast is about abstaining from doing the thing (s) God has put on your heart for 40 days. Some people are not going to watch TV, some people are shutting down their What’s App, some people are not eating a particular food item as we pray every single day seeking God’s face.

Organize time to pray in the morning and in the evening and make each prayer session at least 45 mins long. It is a time of sacrifice, let’s aim to spend much more time with God than we usually do. Let the Holy Spirit push you, it will not be in vain. If you can spend 1 hour to pray and worship in the morning, 1 hour in the evening or at night that will be awesome.

Time to appropriate God’s Word. 2018 is a Year of Victories!

Today’s Word:

If you give up, the enemy will be very happy but God won’t be pleased to see you abandon the fight and put your weapons down. We live for God, we belong to God, we want to therefore please him. And do his will always. If we love God, our hearts will always be inclined to do his will. We are not going to look at whether it is convenient or not, we will do everything he asks for the God we love. That is why this is the first commandment! To love him with all that we are.

Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment” Matthew 22:35-38.

God has designed you to live in victory through Jesus Christ. He wants you to be the one free, out of bondage who rejoices and celebrates him! He wants you to be the one who wins, not the one who gives up or looses.

God would have never given us a way to live in eternal victory through Jesus if he wanted us to loose.

He showed his heart for us through that one perfect action, sending his son to reconcile us to him and give us eternal life in heaven with him.

He is speaking this word to you today:

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded” 2 Chronicles 15:7.

Furthermore:

“If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” 2 Chronicles 15:2.

1. God will help us if we let him help us and we seek him. If we decide to forsake him, then his help will not be available.

“but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them” 2 Chronicles 15:4.

2. As you seek the Lord God of Israel in your trouble or challenge, you will find him, he will speak and begin to do what seems impossible.

You are serving unbreakable God, a glorious and mighty one, “the true God” (2 Chronicles 15:3).

We live for him, if we love him with all that we are we will choose his will always. He is not pleased if we give up because he has so many plans for us he is just waiting to fulfill! He doesn’t want us to miss out, his plans are waiting for you. What a beautiful partnership…

May you be blessed by this message my friend.

Prayer:

Lord restore your hope in me and help me seek you so I can reap the good testimony you have prepared for me in Jesus mighty name I pray, amen.

Do a Google search for “Bible Verses about Not Giving up”. You will be amazed when you read those verses out loud to God and it will become clear to you that it is truly not God’s will that we give up.

Songs to sing to God:

Please do discover those songs if you don’t know them yet, singing them will highly bless your life.

God bless you!
