Guidelines:

My dear friend, welcome on board. This fast is about abstaining from doing the thing (s) God has put on your heart for 40 days. Some people are not going to watch TV, some people are shutting down their What’s App, some people are not eating a particular food item as we pray every single day seeking God’s face.

Organize time to pray in the morning and in the evening and make each prayer session at least 45 mins long. It is a time of sacrifice, let’s aim to spend much more time with God than we usually do. Let the Holy Spirit push you, it will not be in vain. If you can spend 1 hour to pray and worship in the morning, 1 hour in the evening or at night that will be awesome.

Time to appropriate God’s Word. 2018 is a Year of Victories!

Today’s Word:

We know that God loves us and we must live that way every day. Whatever is happening today let the mark of God’s love enter your life! Accept it, receive it. He cares for you. Your are precious to God.

The bible tells us:

“Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words]” 1 John 3:18.

God leads by example. He shows us his love through deeds not just through talking. God defends us, God gives us testimonies, God provides for us, God gives us favor, God gives blessings. My friend God is going to do a new thing in your life. God is going to change your circumstances as you continue to fast and pray because he shows his love in deeds and this year is A Year of Victories, he said!

God doesn’t speak then hide, he doesn’t speak then is unable to fulfill what he says. He is the almighty God who speaks and does what he says, there is no one like God.

Let us continue to raise our voices to God. Whatever is happening, when we put our trust in God and turn to him in prayer and trust him, it is the best reaction we can have.

God made Faith simple. When Jesus said, ““If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you” (Luke 17:6) or “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23), he was not saying to us that faith comes in varying quantities and sizes, he was saying if we have faith and do not doubt! Then everything will be possible.

Don’t try to figure out how God will do it, that is not your part, just believe he will.

The centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 believed in the limitless power of God in Jesus, he believed that with God his miracle was possible and he took a stand and spoke his faith. And what a powerful outcome! May you have the faith of the centurion, believe God and reject everything that is not of him.

He is saying:

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

God is calling us right now to come out of the ordinary, rise above our limits and speak new things into wilderness…Speak rivers in the desert. Declare that God is making a way. Because Christ has already won it for you. Christ beat the devil and cancelled every attempt from him against your life! It was cancelled by Jesus’ blood.

You are a winner.

Prayer:

I pray that you are going to see rivers in the desert in the name of Jesus, amen!

Take a piece of paper or in your journal write: “I believe Lord, I speak a new thing into the wilderness, I am going to see rivers in the desert in the name of my saviour Jesus Christ, I am a winner, amen.”

Songs to sing to God:

Please do discover those songs if you don’t know them yet, singing them will highly bless your life.

God bless you!
