Guidelines:

My dear friend, welcome on board. This fast is about abstaining from doing the thing (s) God has put on your heart for 40 days. Some people are not going to watch TV, some people are shutting down their What’s App, some people are not eating a particular food item as we pray every single day seeking God’s face.

Organize time to pray in the morning and in the evening and make each prayer session at least 45 mins long. It is a time of sacrifice, let’s aim to spend much more time with God than we usually do. Let the Holy Spirit push you, it will not be in vain. If you can spend 1 hour to pray and worship in the morning, 1 hour in the evening or at night that will be awesome.

Time to appropriate God’s Word. 2018 is a Year of Victories!

Today’s Word:

You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,
Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;
But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah;
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.
” Isaiah 62:4

How can this passage be applied to our lives?

God is about to change your life, he is about to bless you. God has a plan for your future and he does not want the enemy to win. God doesn’t agree with any sentence the enemy might have pronounced against you! The devil is “a liar and the father of lies” John 8:44. Your destiny isn’t what the devil says it is. Remember how Jesus told Peter “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” Luke 22:31-32. The devil asked for Peter so that he may sift him as wheat but Jesus prayed for him so that he might not fail and come to inherit God’s prepared destiny for him!

In God’s kingdom it’s about what God says about you and your future my friend, that passage is the living proof.

Wherever the enemy has pronounced the words or even the sentence “Forsaken” against you, whether in your love life, your financial life or your health, God is coming to lift up all the heavy weight and remove that from your life.

You will no longer be called the unblessed one, the desolate one, the empty one, the wretched one, the one who lacks but your new name is “Hephzibah”, ‘My delight is in her.’ Because God will show you such favor, for he has so much pleasure in his people and you will lack no good thing!

Your land is “Beulah” which is “married to him”. This means the new relationship he will establish between you and him. It is likened to a marriage. It means your life is owned and protected by the Lord. You will be his favored and blessed one. The unbroken presence of God will be very manifest in your life. Everyone around you will know your are valued and chosen by God.

And just before that Isaiah 62:3 says: “You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will name. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem In the hand of your God.” The mouth of the Lord speaks about us!

God is about to do good in your life. You just need to open your mouth and say what he speaks about you in this passage as many times as necessary.

Let’s look at this knowledge today: when we repent, God is pleased and ready to give the powerful blessings he has for us. We are precious to God. We are loved and protected by him. In God’s eyes, his most beautiful and precious creation is us. We are his people, we are his chosen ones for a holy purpose.

God rejoices over us when we are free, delivered and living in the victory. Indeed it is the same God who said to Pharaoh: “Let my people go” (Exodus 8:1).

God is saying the exact same thing to the devil now: “Let my people go” and winning the victory for you. It is going to manifest in your life.

Prayer:

May you receive an unbroken presence of God in your life today in the name of Jesus. May this be the sign of God’s love for you. May he lift up and tear every sentence of Satan against you. May he perform the words in Isaiah 62:3-4 in your life. May he crown you with his powerful victory. And finally I pray the same prayer Jesus prayed for Peter for you: “that your faith should not fail.”

Worship, affirming who God is and who you are to him!

Songs to sing to God:

Please do discover those songs if you don’t know them yet, singing them will highly bless your life.

God bless you!
